Dr. Johnson McEvoy BSc, MSc, DPT, MISCP, MCSP, PT
Johnson graduated in 1993 from Trinity College Dublin and worked in the National
Rehabilitation Hospital prior to emigrating to Florida, USA. He sat the Florida Physical
Therapy State Board exams in 1994. He holds licenses in Florida and New York. He
worked in both states from 1993 to 1997 when he returned to Ireland to work in private
practice in Barringtons Medical Centre, Limerick. He opened United Physiotherapy Clinic in
2000.
He completed a Masters in Sport Physiotherapy in 2004 and is Head Physiotherapist with
The Irish Boxing team since 2003. He was an accredited physiotherapist at the Athens
Olympics in 2004.
Johnson completed a clinical doctorate with the University of St Augustine for Health
Sciences (Florida, USA) in 2008. He has several publications with the main emphasis on
myofascial trigger points. He is a freelance educator and teaches with the David Simons
Academy of Switzerland. He teaches on several university programmes including the
University of Limerick and University College Dublin.
Caitriona Foley BSc, MSc, MISCP
Caitriona graduated from University College Dublin in 2004 and worked in the Mater
Hospital in Dublin. In 2007 she joined United Physiotherapy Clinic. She has completed the
MSc in Sports and Exercise Medicine at University College Galway in 2010 with First Class
Honours. She has worked with high performance swimming in Limerick. She has an
interest in manual therapy, myofascial trigger points and shockwave therapy.
She has completed research on ultrasound imaging of the plantar fascia.
